Many of us try very hard to give up bad habits, to lose weight, to overcome relationship issues, to improve confidence, to give up smoking and other addictions.  We succeed for some time but then we fail. Why? Because we mostly use our rational mind and our willpower and ignore the emotional component connected to our problem. Willpower alone can be upheld for a limited time only because it drains our energy. Our rational brain is in constant negotiation with our emotional or unconscious mind, both think they are doing the best for us. In Cognitive Hypnotherapy, we believe that permanent change has to begin with changing the emotion connected to the problem and the behaviour will adjust naturally.


Cognitive Hypnotherapy is a genuine evidence-based approach. Recent research has demonstrated that "Quest Cognitive Hypnotherapy may offer a brief effective treatment for clients with clinically significant levels of anxiety and/or depression" The findings are published in the Mental Health Review Journal (2015, volume 20, Issue: 3, pp.199-210).
